Throughout our lives there are times where we feel empty and emotionless when it comes to our spiritual lives. I have not even lived thirty years on this planet, but I know what it is like to have those times. They are not enjoyable, but they are always beneficial. They help us to reflect and ponder the things that have happened and force us to draw closer to our creator.
It is difficult to review a Bible. You could easily list your agreement or disagreement with the translation, but in this situation, you ought to know what you are getting and you cannot really find fault with anyone but yourself. For that reason, you have to look more at the material things such as binding, paper used, notes contained, and other things like that.
This is a hardcover Bible that feels like it could be a little sturdier. Although it is a hardback, the cardboard used seems a little flimsy and would probably bend easily under any moderate amount of stress. It does seem like the pages will hold up fairly well to daily use and abuse. The notes are refreshing and definitely help to nourish one’s spiritual self.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for another Bible to pick up. This would be a welcome addition to any Christian’s bookshelf and daily reading. I would give this four out of five stars.
