Let’s Celebrate

Today’s post is a little different from any of my earlier ones.  I am thinking about going this direction periodically and posting up some of my sermon outlines.  This is the outline to the message I gave at my former church this past Sunday as it was the beginning of their centennial celebration.  It is based around Psalm 105:1-5.

“Give thanks to Yahweh, call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the
peoples. Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell about all His wonderful works!
Honor His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
Search for the Lord and for His strength; seek His face always. Remember
the wonderful works He has done” –Psalm 105:1-5, HCSB

1. A Thankful Bunch
a. Give Thanks and Proclaim – Commands
b. Sing – Just Do It
2. A Trampling Bunch
a. Seek Christ – Heart
b. Search for Christ – Head
3. A Thoughtful Bunch
a. Remember the past
b. Push forward

Keep in mind I was on a ten minute time frame.  What do you think?  Good?  Bad?  Ugly?  Appropriate?
